This palate pleaser is a clean, modern, bistro on Lookout Mountain, TN where Chef Sven Lindroth uses his culinary talents to marry the flavors of Louisiana, Chicago, and France with traditional southern foods of fried green tomatoes, collards, and stone ground grits. Be sure to see my review after the pictures.

Whether you eat inside, on the terrace, or on the run, you'll love the atmosphere of this Cafe. During my visit, Wednesday evening offered live music on the patio.
Cafe on the Corner is convenient to family vacation favorites.
For lunch, try the Pork Sliders. Served on cheddar thyme biscuits, the pulled pork is tender and juicy. The biscuits have more than a hint of thyme and compliment the sweet barbeque sauce. Even though listed as an appetizer, these sliders make a nice lunch and come with a serving of blue cheese cole and a pickle spear. Mmmm!
Included in the appetizer list you'll find light and delicate Collard Greens and Smoked Pork Spring Rolls. Packed with collards, corn, red bell peppers, and red onions, the springs rolls are served with a sweet mustard sauce. Your kids are sure to love these, too. Three rolls are cut halved to six portions. Enough to share, but you'll want to eat them all.
Fried Green Tomatoes This southern favorite is panko-breaded on a plate drizzled with basil aioli. The tomatoes are topped with sweet bell pepper jelly. Other establishments might serve this dish with a slightly thicker slice of tomato, but "the secret is in the sauce." The basil aioli sauce/dressing brings a Southern Plantation sophistication to the dish.
Special -- Portabella Mushroom Sandwich. Wow! There's an explosion of flavors going on with this special. Not a typical menu item, the sides are choice of homemade chips or fries. Topped with red onions, lettuce, and tomato and served on the absolute freshest bun, the amazing flavors of this meal include the tender juicy portabella, smoked gouda cheese (excellent quality), and a condiment made from a balsamic reduction aioli, with a hint of basil, spread on the bun.
